The holiday cottages at Burnside Park, Bowness on Windermere in Cumbria are fully equipped and tastefully decorated. The one bedroom units, sleeping four, have a partial kitchen, a two ring hob and combination microwave. The studio units have a double bed and a sofa bed, but are only really suitable for a couple with two small children. All the units have telephones and there is a laundry facility on site. If members are taking young children a child pack can be obtained for £18 for the week, and consists of a cot, highchair and safety gate.

The adjacent Burnside Hotel offers a restaurant and cocktail lounge and an extensive indoor leisure complex. One of the many on site facilities for residents is Burnside Hotel Spa, an all weather leisure facility, including a swimming pool with toddler pool, 2 spa baths, plunge pool, sauna and steam room . There is also a fitness room, 18 seater cinema and pool table (£1) and Romneys at Burnside (local pub) cocktail lounge bar offering many different types of food.

The holiday cottages at Burnside Park, Bowness on Windermere in Cumbria lie in three acres of tranquil gardens. They are in close proximity to Bowness Bay, within 300 yards of the Steamer Pier and the bustling village centre, making it one of the finest locations in the area.

The Lake District National Park at 2,292 sq km, is the largest of England's National Parks providing an exciting mix of mountain and lake scenery. Postcard perfect in summer, in autumn the brown bracken of the mountain slopes contrasts with the reds of oak forests and the beginnings of snow white frosting on the mountain peaks. The Lake District is a walker's paradise at any time. The town of Bowness, a few minutes walk away, offers a wide choice of restaurants and craft shops.

To reach Burnside Park at Bowness on Windermere in Cumbria by road, leave the M6 at Junction 36, following the dual carriageway, signposted Windermere & South Lakes, via the Kendal bypass A590. Continue on the A590 which becomes the A591 for several miles. At the roundabout take the first exit onto B5284 (Crook Road) signed Hawkshead via Ferry. At end of the B5284 turn right onto B5074 Kendal Road signed Windermere. Follow this for 0.5 miles and Burnside Park Resort is on the left hand side opposite Brackenfield signposted Hapimag Burnside Park Resort. Reception for accommodation is located in the white building, immediately in front of the entrance.

Important Information

Electricity is charged on a meter to be paid at the end of the week. Up to 2 dogs allowed - at a cost of £39 per stay. Dogs must not be left alone in the units at any time and are not allowed on furniture or in the bedrooms. All guests are responsible for any damage or mess left by the pets.

For guests arriving out of office hours, a key box is located outside of Reception so keys can be collected for your accommodation.

Please inform the resort on the day of arrival if you are going to arrive out of office hours. You will be asked to provide a mobile number so the resort can provide you with your access code for the key box. Failure to do so will mean no access to your apartment.

Our refurbishment program will be carried out between November'19 - March '20 on some of our apartments and infrastructure. We will try our best to allocate the guests far from noise or any disruption, although this not always may be possible. We apologise already for any inconvenience this could cause and for any further information please do not hesitate to contact our reception
